Autumn is a season that favours books. Whether it's the cooler weather, the longer evenings, or the way life returns to its normal rhythm after the summer, in our bookstore it's manifested in one way: a busy programme. We invite you to several book events, meetings with authors and to the new bookstore. And we're also introducing a few new titles that will be out before the end of the year.
Book launches, book signings & other events
This very week we will meet at two pleasant events:
October 16 at 6:00 pm / On Monday, Frenk Meeuwsen will visit us with his comic Zen without a Master, a book full of searches, drawings and koans - riddles of Zen masters. Come for tea, a book signing, and to get acquainted with Japanese thinking as performed by a pleasant Dutchman.
19 October at 16:00 / On Thursday we invite you to the launch of Radka Brzobohatá's new poetry collection Mezi stíny řas. This beautiful little book is full of poems that look at quite ordinary things in an extraordinary way. We will welcome the author and her guests, David Cajthaml, who added his illustrations to the book, and Jan Kunz, poet and performer, who will christen the new collection.
Keep up with all our event on our Facebook page.
