Alphabet for Futura

The publication, the thematic framework of which is the relationship between graphic design and free art, is an extension of the author's doctoral thesis. The publication is a specific manual - the conclusion and recapitulation of the identity project of the Futura Center for Contemporary Art, on which the author collaborated for five years. The book also contains research and reflections on the topic of identities of cultural institutions, presents the results and especially the process of identity creation, which are associated with specific creators, artists, curators or collaborators, allusions from the history of graphic design or fine arts and techniques, typefaces, ie non-authorial visual materials. Special attention is paid to the necessary artistic and technical processing. Graphics by Jan Brož and Michal Landa (Parallel Practice).
