Art Nouveau Prague - Petr Wittlich

The end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century signalled a change in the city of Prague. The city went through modernisation and next to historical buildings grew new establishments such as hotels, restaurants and apartments in the style of Art Nouveau. Many buildings like the main train station were redecorated in this style. The Municipal House became one of the main examples of Art Nouveau in Prague, opening in 1912. Similarly, cubism started developing and forming the modern city.
