Art & Print - collection of graphics of the Olomouc Museum of Art

The Art & Print catalog brings in twelve chapters a curator's selection of more than two hundred graphic sheets, which illustrate not only the character of the collection of graphic prints of old masters from the collection of graphics of the Olomouc Museum of Art, but also changes in forms, themes and functions of graphic prints over five centuries. From late Gothic and Renaissance woodcuts, through the virtuoso copperplate engravings of Mannerist masters, a wide range of Baroque etchings to the universal lithographic printing technique that dominated 19th century graphics. Graphics are presented in a wide range of topics (biblical and mythological stories, allegories, architecture, landscape, portrait, genre and satire).
