The correspondence of Bohuslav Reynek (1892-1971), edited for over two decades, covers the life of Reynek the poet, translator and graphic artist. The first, most extensive part consists of letters exchanged with Josef Florian, in the beginning (1914) connected with the publication of Reynk's early poems and translations; their contacts ended in 1941 with the death of the famous publisher from the Old Kingdom. The following are letters that young Reynek exchanged with other publishers (JV Pojer, V. Vokolek Z. Řezníček), but also with painters, writers (J. Čapek, O. Březina V. Hofman, MJ Giono, M. Jakob, J. Zahradníček etc.) and with his future wife, the poet Suzanna Renaud. Life, especially after 1948, brought changes that marked the life of the family and thus, of course, the character of Reynk's correspondence, connected with his space Petrkov. The letters to artists of the younger generation (J. Kolář, V. Holan, O. Janeček etc.), family members and new friends, to which both editors of Correspondence belonged, do not contain factual information, but impressive reflections and observations of an aging man and artist. His last letters are dated 1971.
