Czech Glass, Quo Vadis ?! is a kind of reflection on the paths that Czech studio work takes in glass art today, 60 years after its phenomenal success at EXPO 58 in Brussels. My intention was to present the most diverse mosaic of approaches to glass, to show how glass intervenes in other areas of art, and to demonstrate the possibilities of its connection with non-traditional materials. The catalogue is conceived as a book of professional and life stories of individual authors rather than as an expert´s publication. In it, I follow their professional line, but also the human level. I point out their individuality, exceptionality, the ability to be different, to find their own way, to cope with difficult situations and to persevere when everything literally and figuratively is splintered. The mosaic of presented profiles of authors became a story in itself.
