The execution of Milady Horáková and three others sentenced to death on 27 June 1950 and many years of punishment for other accused started the communist terror of the 1950s. After 1989, publications were made showing how the processes were staged, but there was still a lack of wider social awareness of the nature and ideological significance of these processes. Only in recent years have there been efforts to reflect on this topic, both in documentary and artistic form. In 2010, as part of the 60th anniversary of the trials, the civic association SYMPOSION prepared the project TWENTY-SEVEN DAY, which recalls this tragic and dark past of Czech society. The project includes an exhibition by Jiří Sozánský, which opened on 16 June 2010 at the Straka Academy.
