The music club is an experimental space in which each generation has defined a unique relationship between culture, body and community. Like the visual arts, the club scene participates in the creation of new stories, identities and communities. The visual arts and the club scene live in a symbiotic relationship, intertwining and influencing each other. Music is also increasingly present in visual arts schools. Many Czech and Slovak visual artists are experimenting with music not only in galleries, and the club scene provides a space for many artists and curators. Many artists also work in clubs because working there offers a more stable, if still uncertain, income than in the liberal arts.
