Martin Milfort: Photographs, Motifs from Bohemian Forest and Its Foothills

This book is a summary of Martin Milfort's lifelong work. It is a carefully selected collection of black-and-white images that the artist considers most significant and, at the same time, encompasses the full range of motifs characteristic of his oeuvre - from monumental landscapes to the details of natural structures. And the geographical scope of the publication is also representative: in addition to the central Bohemian Forest (known in Czech as Šumava) and the Bavarian Forest, covered in many previous books, calendars and postcards, a substantial part of the book captures the region of the Bohemian Forest foothills that the artist has photographed mainly in recent years and which thus represents a lesser-known stage of his work.
