Mikuláš Medek Naked in the Thorns

The accompanying catalog of the exhibition of the same name will present one of the most important personalities of Czech art in the second half of the 20th century. His work underwent a steep, very dynamic development, described as an arc from surrealism through a period called informal to a very distinctive final stage: Medek always went his own and independent path, which made him a unique European painter of his time, whose fame continues to grow.
