Czech-English catalogue accompanying the NEW FACE OF PRAGUE exhibition.

This Czech-English catalogue, which is following an exhibition NEW FACE OF PRAGUE, has in comparison with exhibited panels much more photographs and floor plans and it contains a map of realizations and short info cameo with photo of each studio. The editorial is written by an author of the exhibition, Dan Merta. You can also find essays by historians and theorists Petr Kratochvíl and Zdeněk Lukeš. These texts will introduce not only a "face" of contemporary architecture, but also a progression of Prague architecture in 20th century.  A graphic layout is designed by Tomáš Brichcín and Robert V.Novák.

The selection of five decades of buildings results of a typology. Each of ten topics (offices, industrial, culture, public, residential, villas, interiors, hotels, ecology, visions) contains generally five realizations or projects. So can reader discover whole scale of realizations - from those, which are close to his life (family houses, residential complexes) to buildings, which are influencing a face of the city and a life in it (offices, hotels, reconstructions of fabric houses, public buildings, interiors). Another, but no less, theme is a future of Prague. In this catalogue, reader can find few projects, which are concerned in developers' projects, revitalizations in some city parts or so called "green projects" - ecological realizations on residential but also public level.
