The new extended edition of the successful photographic publication of abandoned mansions in Slovakia, Châteaux, captures more than 130 photographs of abandoned and dilapidated mansions, divided into categories according to their latest use, which is often surprising. (In addition to schools or warehouses, eg gyms or hairdressers) The book is supplemented by professional texts in the field of photography, monument protection and the history of mansions in Slovakia. It is a testament to the extensive transformation that our society has undergone as a result of the political changes of the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as a statement of the complex relationship to our cultural values.
