Stanislav Kolíbal: Homage to geometry

Galleria Chodba is centrally located in Prague at the School of Computer Science of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics in the Baroque “House of the Professed” at Malostranské náměstí 25, on the ground floor and open to the public. The aim of the gallery is to foster and enrich the education of our students, scientists and many visitors by exposing them to art, philosophy and history related to our more abstract fields of study in mathematics and computer science.
The curators Dr Andrew Goodall and Prof. Jaroslav Nešetřil, both employed at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University and active artists, have been running the gallery since November 2023.
This is the first publication reflecting the activity of Galleria Chodba. It is a catalogue of the gallery’s exhibition Stanislav Kolíbal: Homage to geometry and explores the relationship of Kolíbal’s work to mathematics, and geometry in particular. It is published in Kolíbal’s centenary year.
