Together with Jiří Bielecki and Eduard Ovčáček, the sculptor, painter, illustrator and graphic designer Svatoslav Böhm (1934) ranks among the most prominent representatives of the North Moravian section of the Concretists´ Club. His life is inseparably connected with Krnov, an Upper Silesian town located in the foothills of the Jeseníky Mountains, far away from the Prague art center. Howewer, it was Böhm´s studioin Krnov that became an important venue for the first activities of the Concretists´ Club from 1967 onwards. Other members of the group, including the theorist Asén Pohribný, would come there; it was there that the Concretis manifesto was read, discussed and planned.
