As another UNESCO edition, FOIBOS BOOKS publishes a book about the historic center of Telč. Telč is a unique, completely preserved smaller medieval town with water fortifications, a dominant castle preserved in the form of late Gothic and Renaissance reconstructions and with extremely impressive fronts of town houses of Renaissance and Baroque morphology around the square. The publication deals with the historical development of the city, especially the flourishing under the influence of Zachary of Hradec, and the architectural form of individual buildings, not only the famous set of houses on the main square. Readers will also read the stories of nobles and burghers who had a great influence on the current appearance of the city. Also important was the period after the arrival of the Jesuit order, which left behind in Telč the Church of the Name of Jesus and the Jesuit College complex. A large part of the book is devoted to the history and form of the Telč chateau. The texts are supplemented by beautiful photographs of the current state of the historic center, and at the end there is again a map with individually marked buildings.
