The publication "Tenkrát na Sparta" is a photographic probe behind the scenes of top football in the 80s, which was dominated by the beloved and hated Sparta. Zdeněk Lhoták (in 2020 announced by the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic for his long-term contribution to photography as a Personality of Czech Photography) presents in the book unique, previously unpublished photographs from the period 1977 to 1989, which document not only sports performances on the pitch but also the dramas and emotions taking place in the stands, in the dressing rooms and privacy of the football idols of the time (Berger, Hašek, Chovanec). The book can be seen as a literary pictorial essay about elite football in cultural and sociological contexts. In it you will find photos from famous matches with Juventus, Real Madrid, from title celebrations in cabins, airplanes and in the stands. Perhaps there will also be serious fifty-year-olds who "fought" for Sparta in the famous cauldron thirty years ago. The book is supplemented with a text by Tomáš Poláček and comments by football players, coaches and fans on some of the photos.
