The Dictator of Time

The book processes film materials related to this unique artistic project from both private and public collections, written archives and interviews with contemporary witnesses. The monograph is divided into three chapters - these do not present a chronological history of Laterna Magika but rather gradually reveal particular thematic layers and show the theatre as a complex phenomenon affected by many cultural, political, technical and ideological transformations of its era.
