Věnceslav Černý: Sets of Postcards

A set of twelve tear-off postcards featuring paintings by artist and illustrator Věnceslav Černý, whose monograph was published by KAVKA at the end of 2025.

Věnceslav Černý was active at a time when modern Czech book culture was emerging, and he became one of its defining voices. With his realistic style and sense of storytelling, he had a significant influence on the next generation of illustrators, including Zdeněk Burian, who considered him one of his key role models.

The views include some of Černý's iconic illustrations for Jirásek's Old Czech Legends and Karel May's novels, as well as lesser-known reproductions of Černý's paintings from private collections.
