Visit Czechoslovakia! (EN)

Visit Czechoslovakia! The Stories of Czech and Slovak Travel Posters is a richly illustrated volume, that invites you to the colorful world of travel posters, offering a look at both real and imaginary Czechoslovak landscapes from the republic’s founding in 1918 to its peaceful dissolution in 1992. The authors place these remarkable artworks in their cultural, artistic, and political contexts, uncovering the larger stories that lie just outside their paper frames. More than a gallery, this is a visual guide through the turbulent twentieth century in the heart of Europe.
