Vojtěch Hrubant a Markéta Soukupová: Sítotisk

Screen printing is an author's publication published in the AVU Graphic Workshops. It is a manual for an interesting graphic technique and as such tries to introduce the technique to others in a fun way. On 56 pages, the reader will learn what materials are needed, how screen printing works, how it is created, how it is printed and what mistakes to avoid. The author's publication also offers some alternative approaches for home printing. The colorful book full of illustrations does not try to give a dry explanation of the technique. Even so, everyone should be able to realize screen printing themselves after reading it. Both authors, Markéta Soukupová and Vojtěch Hrubant, are active artists, devoted to screen printing, and the book represents their first publishing collaboration. Screen printing is also the first swallow of the intended micro-edition mapping traditional graphic techniques. All this in a playful form, which is typical for their work.
