Full Spectrum. Fifty Years of Collecting Photography in the Moravian Gallery in Brno

Extensive representative publication is the culmination of the professional activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the photographic collection offifty-year anniversary of the MG and institutions. The book is an overview of publications on the history and profile of the photography collection of MG andaccompanying photographic exhibition currently held at MG in 2011 and 2012.Published in cooperation with the publisher Kant.

The aim of the exhibition and also the full spectrum of publications. 1900-1950Photographs from the collection of the Moravian Gallery in Brno is to introduce the main areas of photos from that period. Exhibited works at three hundred andshown in bond mutual communication of professional photographers, amateurs, members of art groups, photographers working for print, fashion and advertisingand documentary co-operating with the institutions of historical memory and folktraditions. In addition to avant-garde photographs, which is set in the Moravian Gallery in Brno extremely important, will be issued and intended for the more traditional photographic salons and photos tracking social issues, lifestyle andeven ikonografi time. The central focus of the exhibition will be devoted to ways ofseeing the world in the fields of photography, movements and styles, and their social influence. The unifying theme will be and the main ways in which thephotograph appeared, and "define" the world as well as myself, the social aspects of these processes and their interrelationships.
