Oswaldo Vigas was born and raised in Venezuela, Oswaldo Vigas is recognized as one of the most renowned visual artist of Venezuela. Primarily focused on oil and aquarelle paintings, his art resembles Cubism, Dadaism and Surrealism of Post Avant-garde IIWW. He has received various international honorary recognitions, including Venezuelan Premio Nacional de las Artes Plásticas in 1952. His preferred color palette, red, yellow, white, and black, mainly dominates his work and his unique approach to abstract painting, also influenced by his cultural heritage of his native Venezuela.
