Two Cities of Czesław Miłosz
The book Two Cities of Czesław Miłosz is a heartfelt dedication to Vilnius and Krakow, two Central European cities - the space of the poet's youth and last years of life. For the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature Czesław Miłosz, Vilnius remained extremely important throughout his life, it is constantly mentioned in his works. In Krakow he spent the last years of his life actively communicating with creators from all over the world, participating in the cultural life of this city. At this stage of his life, he already spoke like an Old Testament prophet, with the voice of a man who had seen and experienced a lot. All this is tried to be indirectly witnessed with black and white images of the two cities, thus emphasizing the importance of the connection between Vilnius and Krakow for Lithuanian culture. The publication publishes the images of Vilnius and Krakow photographed by ručně's introductory text about the symbolic cities of Czesław Miłosz. The designer of the book is Alexey Murashko. Prepared and published by "Baltėnos archives" together with "Vilniaus galerija"
