Miloš Šejn: Větve patří sem
The 644-page book Branches Belong Here presents a collection of texts by the Jičín-based artist, performer, university lecturer, art historian and, last but not least, poet and writer Miloš Šejn (*1947). This is the first comprehensive edition of his diary entries and poems, as well as interviews, articles and lectures reflecting his unique approach to art. Some of the included texts have already been published, especially in catalogues for his exhibitions and in art monographs devoted to his work as such (e.g. in the publications Being Landscape, Archives and Cabinets, ÍHMNÍ, etc.). Primarily, however, and on a much larger scale, this book presents a completely new selection of the artist's diverse writings and poetic reflections, centred on his extremely keen and ever-deepening perception of landscape - and especially of his own body in landscape.
Each book features an original drawing.
